I -think- this is finished, if only because I can't figure out what else I could do with it. I rather enjoy the result, but I used a different process than usual, so it looks different from what I'm used to. Hope The Lex and Otterput like it.

I love the colours on this! I've been trying to figure out lighting forever!
The water really does *glow*
Also I love how you handled the ripples!

I love the textures personally, underwater is nice and smooth but above is a slight roughness which is a very subtle but nifty effect for the under and over water on our ickle otter. And the skulls! Much love for the dead beasties! And a huug to the cat, providing I don't get shredded :) His/her fur really is a treat.

This turned out really wonderful - I love how you made the colors pop and glow so well. I'd be curious to hear the story behind it, as well!
KaputOtter
WOOOOO OMG yay! ^___^ The time spent away from it made it 10x better!
I love Jag's earsy catface. And the tubularness of his tail.
Really, the whole composition is nice. :D

Oh wow, I might just have to consider getting a print of this one :D

I adore feel of another place here. Beautiful colors.

The textures are very well applied! You notice them AFTERwards, which makes the viewing experience doubly delightful.

The final version is especially interesting to look at after following the in-progress versions you've posted. I love the way this seems to glow.
Is the otter meant to be the main focus? As it is, with his color so different from the rest of the piece and so little affected by the illumination of the water, I have trouble keeping my eyes off him for long. Obviously that's not a bad thing if it's the point!

YOU DIDN'T RUIN IT WHEN YOU COLOURED IT! SEE!
Man, I'm pretty sure I even had the WIP version faved. But this is even more awesome. Must fave again. WHY MUST YOU BE SO GOOD?

I thought this was traditional and I was trying to figure out what you'd used! Fantastic use of texture, I can't stop looking at it.
